Satisfy Your Cravings with the Most Mouth-Watering Instant Pot Recipes

Instant Pot Orange Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp water
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Turn the Instant Pot onto sauté and add the olive oil.
  2. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then add the chicken breasts and brown on both sides, for 2-3 minutes each.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, mix together the honey, orange juice, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the Instant Pot and set the pressure release valve to “sealing”.
  5. Set the Instant Pot to High Pressure for 4 minutes, allowing it to come to pressurization first.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds beef chuck stew meat cut into 1-inch pieces
  • coarse sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepper
  • 1 medium onion peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic peeled and roughly-chopped
  • 1-pound baby potatoes scrubbed clean and halved
  • 3 thinly-sliced carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery chopped
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions:

  1. Turn on the “Sauté” setting and heat oil in the bottom of instant pot.
  2. Season stew meat with a large pinch of chunky kosher salt and black pepper. Add meat and onions, and sauté until beef is lightly browned on all sides and onion is soft, stirring occasionally for about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Then add garlic, and sauté for an additional 30 seconds or so, stirring occasionally, until fragrant. Press “cancel” on Instant Pot to turn off. (do not drain any remaining liquids.)
  4. Next, add in potatoes, carrots, celery, tomato paste, beef broth , ½ tablespoon salt,`¸ ½ teaspoon black pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and bay leaf, and stir to combine.
  5. Cover and seal the lid on the Instant Pot, and set to pressure cook on HIGH for 25 mins
  6. Whilst the beef mixture is cooking, in a small mixing bowl mix together the cornstarch and water until it forms a slurry. .
  7. Once cooking time of the pressure cooker is up, Let the Instant Pot naturally release pressure and avoid the steam by using a towel or dish cloth.
  8. Add cornstarch slurry to the pot, and gently stir to combine with beff stew/soup.
  9. Select the Saute function and bring to a low simmer or until thickened to your liking, stir frequently to avoid sticking/burning.
  10. The beef stew can be savoured alone or served over a bed of noodles or with bread if desired. It makes great leftovers, and can also be frozen.
